VIETNAM’S PANGASIUS EXPORTS IN OCTOBER 2022 REACHED THE LOWEST LEVEL
Although still up 31% over the same period, the export turnover of 179 million USD in October recorded the lowest level since the beginning of 2022. The export growth rate over the same period last year was also the lowest. By the end of October, Vietnam pangasius exports reached 2.1 billion USD, up 75% compared to the same in 2021.

PANGASIUS EXPORTS ARE FORECAST TO REACH $2.6 BILLION IN 2022
In the first 5 months of this year, Vietnamese pangasius processing factories have made every effort to run at full processing capacity, with a total export value of 1.21 billion USD, an increase of nearly 90% compared to the same period last year. The good growth in most major export markets compensated for more than 3 years the pangasius industry was severely damaged by Covid-19. It is forecasted that pangasius exports can reach $2.6 billion this year.

In April 2022, Vietnam seafood exports continued to bring in over 1 billion USD with strong growth of 41% over the same period in 2021. Accordingly, total Vietnam seafood export for the first 4 months of the year is expected to reach $3.6 billion, 44.5% higher than the same period last year.
