1. PANGASIUS Singapore, and the UK in April 2020 grew positively by 20.1%; 127.6%, and 20.3%, respectively. By the end of April 2020, the total export value of pangasius reached US $449.5 million, down nearly 27% over the same period in 2019. Most of the major importers (among the top 10 largest importers of Vietnamese pangasius) all slid. On the contrary, exports to Singapore rose by 12.7% and that to the UK lifted by 1.1% over the same period in 2019. |
AA | 2. SHRIMP In June 2020, Vietnam's shrimp exports reached 349.9 million USD, up 19.2% compared to June 2019. This is the best growth since March 2020. In the first 6 months, shrimp export is 1.5 billion USD, up by 5.7% compared to the same period last year. Notably, Vietnam's shrimp exports to two key markets, the US and China in June, still recorded positive growth and it is expected that Vietnam's shrimp exports to these markets will still grow well in the coming months. |
